Reflections: Is the act of reflecting or the state of being reflected. It can be a thought or an opinion resulting from careful consideration. We are now in a new year and what I would like for you to do is to think about the word reflection. Then reflect on what was…. and what is about to be….. past and present. You could take the word Forgiveness and reflect on it long enough to see what or where you might need to apply it. Was there perhaps an incident with someone to where you need to forgive them? Was the hurt so deep you can’t let go of the pain? Have you given careful consideration or thought to the incident long enough to where you will know what to do if that were to happen again? Learning from our mistakes is not always an easy thing to do. So to forgive someone perhaps is not easy either. It doesn’t do us any good to hold a grudge or animosity towards that person because it will only affect our health and well being. Its now a medical fact that people who walk in un-forgiveness for prolonged periods have many physical problems such as sleep disorders, stomach ulcers, anxiety, just to name a few. Learning how to let go of toxic emotions such as hostility or anger is the essence of learning how to forgive. From an early age we are told forgiveness is an important virtue we should practice, but we are only told to forgive, we are not shown how to forgive and mean it. The best way to understand forgiveness is to realize that to forgive and to ask for forgiveness is the best use of one’s energy and one of the most important paths to self healing. I looked in my bible and there is much on forgiveness from God through Jesus. One of our most important scriptures in Luke is the Lords Prayer. In chapter 11 verses 3 and 4 it is said: Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us and do not subject us to the final test. God can and will forgive us but he will do with much love. So what does that tell you? Perhaps it says you can forgive with much love also.

This world with all the changes that will come about this year will present to us many challenges. I feel a lot of this sincerely has to do with forgiveness. Look at all the different situations that we are in with morgages, jobs, banks and high cost of living. Sometimes I feel if its not one thing it’s another. My head literally swims from all the thoughts. I had a few situations myself that transpired to where Forgiveness is needed. I pray hard for guidance and I understand that what happens can only make me stronger because I refuse to be weak. I do not want to be sick or even stressed but sometimes it can’t be helped. I highly suggest exercise or work out of some kind to keep your emotions and anxiety at an even keel. This can help ward off health problems and if we watch how we eat that will help also. Now…If someone upsets me to the point where I need to forgive I take 15 minutes a day to put that person in a pink bubble and I send them love and wish them well. Prayer in my mind is a very strong asset and I know that they meaning all my teachers and guides including God hear me. Hopefully you will think about all of this and do the same thing. When I am finished praying I feel better and I slowly let go of the anger which is important and I hope you will do the same.
